The annual Remembrance Service took place on Tuesday 11th November from 2:30 pm for 3 pm in the former Woodfield Hall, Bewdley Road, hosted by President David Simons.

2025 Remembrance Service

Eleven Old Carolians and two spouses attended an Act of Remembrance held at the old school hall, Bewdley Road, Kidderminster, at 3 pm on 11th November 2025 in a celebration of the lives of all those who made the final personal sacrifice.

Past President Arthur Miller read the introduction.  President David Simons, Senior Vice-President Nigel Geary and Junior Vice-President Nigel Worton took it in turns to read the respective Rolls of Honour for King Charles I School Old Boys and Old Elizabethans that fell in the First World War, for King Charles I School Old Boys, Old Elizabethans and Kidderminster High School for Girls former pupils that fell in the Second World War, and for King Charles I School Old Boys who fell in the Falklands War and in Afghanistan.

President David Simons read the Collect for Remembrance Day, and Senior Vice-President Nigel Geary the Collect for Remembrance Sunday.  Arthur Miller, as Celebrant, had included, especially for this occasion, 'A Prayer of St Apollonius (170-245)', and the service concluded with prayers and a blessing.  The National Anthem was sung in harmonic parallel fifths!  There followed the laying of the wreath and the 'Extract for the Fallen' – Laurence Binyon being read with due solemnity by David, our President. The traditional group photo was taken by Olive Broadfield.
